The Ocean Pavilion was a key milestone in the Seattle Aquarium’s 20-year strategic plan. The new space accommodates steadily growing attendance and serves as a centerpiece for showcasing the Aquarium’s mission to promote ocean conservation. As one of the cornerstone projects in the Seattle Waterfront transformation, the addition of the Pavilion contributed to the revitalization of the waterfront and helps reconnect the City of Seattle to the Salish Sea. The Pavilion features a stunning 350,000-gallon warm-water tank, with elevated pathways, fully accessible exhibits, and a rooftop public space offering expansive views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains.. The Pavilion achieved LEED Gold certification.
